Dyneema Soft Shackle
If you are not familiar with this product, you will be happy discovering this smart and safe invention. A SOFT SHACKLE is the lightest type of a shackle and one of the strongest thanks to the 100% dyneema braid, using 12 spindles for the 3mm and 16 spindles for the 6mm version.
A SOFT SHACKLE safe from abrasion
Of course, using textiles in our common scenarios must be considered with caution. It is for this reason, our SOFT SHACKLES can be equipped with a special protection sleeve made from dyneema, the best material to prevent abrasion and textile damages.
If chosen the protective sleeve version, this cover can be removed easily afterwards, in case a smaller diameter of the shackle is needed.
Be aware of its exposure to damage.
Select 3 mm or 6 mm SOFT SHACKLE and stays strong
By offering our SOFT SHACKLE in 2 different diameters, you get to actually choose between 2 different lengths.
- The 3 mm diameter - 56 cm (28 cm double wrap) has to be double wrapped to be stronger but make your Split Connection smaller due to smaller headknot.
- The 6 mm diameter - 28 cm length is bigger but more handy thanks to a single wrap.
Both versions come with out Safety closure, an elastic string, that avoids that the headknot of the shackle could move or potentially even slip out during an un-tensioned situation.
Can I three-way load the SOFT SHACKLE?
Yes, you can use the SOFT SHACKLES in a three-directional loading situation. In fact, the SOFT SHACKLE can adapt to the shape of what it is connected to, without creating problems or reduction of strength. So it is also ideal for use with SPANSET.
Expert use only
These connectors are for expert use only. They are stronger than steel, not to mention that they are up to 10 times lighter, but you must be thoroughly familiar with the correct use, before handling or installing them in your set-up.
