ROLLEX SLIDE STOP- it's time to rest

The SLIDE STOP is a simple and efficient tool that works like a little "handbrake" while resting or taping the highline. SLIDE STOP is not be used to stop the motion itself, it only prevents sliding away from your resting position. 

Our SLIDE STOP it is a piece of sticky rubber glued to a webbing and including a sewn eye. This construction makes it very durable, and offers optimal grip also when used on a steep angle.

How does it work the SLIDE STOP?

In order to use your SLIDE STOP just insert it into the ROLLEX's top webbing slot. Simply fill it through the slot facing the way you want to brake . The rubber side must face upwards (away from the webbing). After inserting it, bend the end of the SLIDE STOP down and carefully slide over it. The rubber gets between the webbing and the aluminum roll, which prevents further motion and sliding.

The SLIDE STOP can slip a little on extremely saggy lines (especially close to the anchor). 

You can use the sewn eye to clip your SLIDE STOP to a mini oval carabiner (included in the kit) to secure it to your highline harness. This way, it is always prepared to be used quickly if you need to rest.

Can I use a SLIDE STOP to stop myself on a line?

No, the SLIDE STOP has been only designed to prevent further motion from a stop position (eg. while taping or resting on a long highline). You could melt the rubber if you tried to stop the sliding speed.
