The BACKUP Line to back you up

The new SOLID webbing will make your slacklife more reliable and easier. This especially strong and thin, high tenacity polyester webbing will be the ideal component in your highline set up.

Your BACKUP LINE for improved safety and even windy sessions. Our SOLID slackline has been the result of a development process focused precisely on high strength, a good, thinner weave and an affordable price, as we all have been searching for THE easy, but safer back-up solution.

SOLID as a solid Backup Choice

This new webbing reflects excellent features to be your new trusted, general backup line for most of your setups, if in the park for your practice with a backup line or simply for anything small to a really long highline.

With its high strength (31kN see below), the SOLID will make you feel especially relaxed, even for super windy sessions. Its special width of only 20mm makes it way less reactive to wind, but in combination with its weight, a bit of the right wind will keep you line longer stable and fun to slack on.

Also, its abrasion protection makes this webbing more durable over the time of its lifespan, if proper care has been applied regularly (please always read the manual about how to continuously take best care of your slackline textiles and other equipment).

Easy rigging easy handling - even with 20mm width

We made it visibly quite easy to distinguish both sides of the new SOLID back-up webbing. One side showing the horizontal black weaving and simple white weaving on other. This avoids twisting your backup during preparation and during installation.

With its thinner diameter in width, this webbing is on one hand INCOMPATIBLE with a standard weblock, but in order to secure your backup line safely, we recommend rather than tying a backup knot, to use a LINELOCK ALUMINUM RING at your anchor.

Secondary, our SLIM special SLACKIBLOCK WEBLOCKS are great and an absolutely compatible alternative to secure your backup at the anchors.

What is the difference between the BY METER webbing, the SPLIT50 and SPLIT100?

If you already have a regular training spot, with a predefined length in which to install a line, iie. 30, 45 or 70 m, then you can choose to purchase the webbing BY METER selecting the length you want (quantity 33 = 33m), and if necessary you can purchase a SEWN LOOP for one or both ends separately.

However, if you already want to consider connecting several segments together using INOV' SPLIT technology, you want to choose the SPLITS of 50 or 100m length

Any special lengths SPLITS orders for your SOLID backup line are to be made via email.

Choose the CLASSIC or JUMBO protection Sleeve

Before being sewn into a loop, the webbing is threaded into a tubular webbing that acts as a protective anti-abrasion sleeve. We offer two different kinds of protection sleeve:

  • CLASSIC: it is a single, tubular layer protection and is ideal for most common situations, such as with shackles or carabiners.
  • JUMBO: is an innovative, new system with a tubular, double layer of protection, which increases abrasion resistance and makes the use of small connectors (such as the Ø4 mm SOFT SHAKES or the Ø5 mm diameter dyneema ropes) concern-less.

Accessible to everyone

As a backup line should be accessible to everyone, we tried a special combination of materials and weaving techniques to keep the SOLID at an easy price too. With its thin size, it is the ideal webbing for a big highline set-up, therefore more length is needed.With this special price, we hope to respond to many slackliners’ needs, but we stay open to special project requests via email.

IMPORTANT SAFETY CHECK - Do it periodically

Inspect your set-up before each session.

It is ABSOLUTELY necessary to check properly the line status before each session.

Exposure to sunlight (UV rays)

Exposure to the sun's UV rays greatly reduces the strength of webbing. For a long life of your webbing, try avoiding perma-rigg installations or leaving your line too long set up on sunny days.

When to dismiss the webbing from use?

If one or more of the following conditions occur, stop immediately the use of your line for highlining. Contact us, if in doubt.

  • Total colour fading of the colored bands due to excessive UV exposure (max 180 days of exposure);
  • Damage to webbing fibers due to abrasion from excessive use or other causes;
  • Stiffness of the webbing when not stretched. If you can hold 30 or 50 cm of line horizontal without ANY tension, best to sort out the webbing completely, as it has  most likely not only lost his special features but as well suffered a great reduction of strength;

WARNING! This is only a partial list. It is essential to read the manual and user instructions carefully and as soon as signs of degradation appear retire the line or contact the manufacturer.

    What is the 3 SIGMA MBS in the product data sheet?

    Hi! Does the 50 meter longline kit come with webbing that has 2 sewn loops? Thanks! SIGMA is an element of statistical calculations, which allows to display a products’ guaranteed strength value throughout its manufacturing process. Therefore, it is related to product safety.

    During the testing process, the greater the differences between the 10 recorded values, the higher turns out the sigma value.

    For example, for 10 carabiners tested, their ten recorded values are usually different and not the exact same:

    24,9 | 25,9 | 26,2 | 25,6 | 25,8 | 24,7 | 25,5 | 24,7 | 26,0 | 25,7 kN

    So which value to take into account to display the MBS (Minimum Breaking Strength) value?

    We first calculate the average:

    (24,9 + 25,9 + 26,2 + 25,6 + 25,8 + 24,7 + 25,5 + 24,7 + 26,0 + 25,7) / 10 = 25,5 kN

    We then calculate the variance:

    24,9 - 25,5 = - 0,6    (-0,6)2 = 0,36

    25,9 - 25,5 = - 0,4    ( 0,4)2 = 0,16

    ...and so on for the 10 measured values.

    We add those 10 results:

    0,36 + 0,16 + 0,49 + 0,01 + 0,09 + 0,64 + 0,064 + 0,25 + 0,04 = 2,68

    And we create the average:

    2,68 / 10 = 0,268

    The variance is even to : 0,268

    SIGMA (standard deviation) = square root of 0,268 = 0,5176

    The maximum value displayed on the carabiner would be:

    average of 10 carabiners = 25,5 kN

    SIGMA = - 0,5176

    ____________________________

    Displayed Value = 24,0724 kN

    What you should know in particular about the 3 SIGMA safety margin?

    We use the 3 SIGMA method to calculate the MBS.

    We multiply the SIGMA for 3 (this is why it is called “3 SIGMA”) to boost the prudency in the MBS calculation.

    Taking the 10 previous carabiners as an example:

    The average of those 10 carabieners is 25,5kN

    3 SIGMA (3 x 0,5176) = - 1,5528

    _____________________________

    Displayed value = 23,0472 kN
