Slackline Aluminum Carabiner

The Oval Carabiner with a gate opening of 22 mm has a breaking strength of 24 kN and weights only 72 gr. Made of high-tenacity anodized aluminum and with a lime colour for the body and dark grey for the lever. The symmetrical oval shape, larger than the classic oval ones, guarantees a better webbing position when ravelling.

The aluminum makes this carabiner very light, like a pleasure to take with you in the backpack.

How to use this carabiner: Multiplier in Pulley System, Primitive and Rodeo

The oval shape carabiner works proper with bi-directional working load situations, for example in a Primitive pulley system, in a Rodeo Line set-up or as a connecting element of a pulley system multiplier. With the choice of the carabiner without the screw nut, a connection between elements in a multiplier system will be easier and faster.

Do not ruin your slackline with any carabiner !

This carabiner has a KEY-LOCK system (catch-free) so the contact point between the gate and the body is completely smooth, without any hook for the gate lever. The KEY-LOCK system avoids any damage to the webbing when opening or closing the gate.

Warning

This carabiner is not compatible with 50 mm webbing. Do not use it for trickline or jump lines. Do not use this carabiner for climbing.

Do not exceed 4 kN working limit load in the system. Do not exceed a working angle of 30° with the slings around the tree. In case of any doubt, replace the carabiner with a SHACKLE, designed for tri-directional load.

Sure: Slackline is made of high tenacity polyester and provides excellent resistance: up to 1,500 kg of working load! The resistance of the webbing is fundamental: we want to ensure the safety of our slackliners. In this way, we guarantee resistance even for the most extreme tricks and jumps on the line.

If I do not have special forged high-load rings, can I use a carabiner?

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE A COMMON CARABINER: it is not designed to work in the highlining conditions and it’s not suitable for Highline. In fact, the carabiner nuts and gate would risk to break the line: the consequences could be tragic and fatal! Use only specific highlining equipment in the highlining section of our website are the safe solution to practice highlining!
